UAV Ground Control Stations and Equipment
Mission-Ready UAV Ground Control
Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation (NASC) offers multiple options for the command and control of unmanned aerial vehicles. Designed and constructed to suit the requirements and environmental conditions of any particular mission, NASC ground control stations and additional equipment can support short or extended period flight operations anywhere in the world.
Mobile Operations Center
The NASC Unmanned Systems Mobile Operations Center (MOC) is a self-contained, field deployable UAV Command Center complete with Ground Control Station, provisions for UAV transport, mobile workshop and ground support equipment. This highly customized trailer provides the self-sufficiency required to operate a UAV/UAS from practically any location. Designed with P3I (Preplanned Product Improvement) practices to facilitate the ease of quality upgrades, this system can support the rapid integration of customer unique systems, sensors and equipment. Whether your mission is operational, research and development, or UAV flight training, this Unmanned Systems Mobile Operations Center packs all the features required to conduct safe UAS operations.
The NASC Mobile Operations Center is a Complete Mission System
- Transportable nearly anywhere
- Mission ready in 1.5 hours
- Ground control station and antenna suite
- 25′ Telescopic steel mast
- Heads-Up Display
- Electronic Flight Instrumentation System
- UAV transport
- Ground Support Equipment
- Mobile Maintenance Workshop
- Internal Communications System
- Airfield Communications
- Weather Station
- Self-Contained Power

Cold Weather Version
The NASC Mobile Operations Center is also available configured for extreme cold-weather environments. The modifications enable occupants to operate effectively and comfortably at or below -10⁰ C.
- Upgraded electrical generating and supply system to support additional heating systems with no degradation to mission systems
- To supplement existing heating system, integrated three additional independent radiant wall & floor heating systems
- Integration of additional (double) floor, wall and ceiling insulation
- External vertical skirting added to entire bottom perimeter. Forms barrier to prevent intrusion of continuous cold air below MOC and significantly reduces heat loss through flooring.
Portable Operations Center
The NASC Portable Operations Center (POC) is a rugged, rack mounted or desk top use Piccolo-based Ground Control Station (GCS). The NASC POC enables fully autonomous or manual UAV flight operations. The GCS incorporates primary and secondary Command and Control (C2), video downlink, GPS, and Differential GPS. This rack mounted GCS provides pilot selectable Directional and Omni Antennas for each C2 and video downlink frequency. The directional antennas are utilized for long range C2 and video downlink with a 360° Pan/Tilt Tracker Head on a heavy duty tripod. This combination is used for max operational LOS range. The Omni antennas are mounted on tripods and used for close range C2 and video downlink. The GCS interfaces with a laptop, desktop, or rack mounted computer loaded with Cloud Cap Piccolo Command Center (PCC) software. Manual control is accomplished through a cable that connects the pilot control box directly to the GCS. PCC software, NASC EFIS (Electronic Flight Information System), NASC HUD (Heads-Up Display), and Nose Camera Video are displayed on the laptop and/or external displays that provide flight critical information.
